Alfred Bernard Cecil Bright was born at Blackheath on 19 September 1893 and joined the Royal Navy on 1 March 1911. He served aboard Queen Elizabeth from 22 December 1914-28 November 1917, during which time she saw plenty of service in the Dandanelles and on board Rosalind from 31 January 1918-28 February 1919. Pensioned ashore on 19 September 1933, he was recalled during the Second World War and rejoined Queen Elizabeth on 2 January 1941, being present for the actions in the evacuation and fall of Crete.
Frederick Henry Parker was born on 13 October 1895 at Winchcombe, Gloucestershire and joined the Royal Navy on 17 October 1912. During the Great War he served aboard Colossus from 17 August 1913-17 May 1915. She was present at the Battle of Jutland and was damaged by two direct hits. Parker was thence with M-18 from 24 July 1915-4 October 1919. In that time she served in the Mediterranean and latterly in the Baltic from April-June 1919. Awarded his L.S. & G.C. Medal on 14 January 1929, he also added the 1935 Jubilee Medal before being pensioned ashore on 2 October 1938.
