Harry Robinson was born at Salford on 24 February 1892 and was a collier by trade upon his joining the Royal Navy on 1 May 1911. During the Great War he served aboard St Vincent from 16 March 1913-16 March 1920, during which she was present at the Battle of Jutland, and was pensioned ashore on 12 May 1921.
