Robert Thomas Arthur Cackett attested with the Royal Artillery on 8 January 1915 and was posted as Gunner to 41st Reserve Battery on 13 April. Appointed Bombardier on 1 May of that year he was later promoted Corporal on 3 August 1916. Transferred to 16 Reserve Battery on 12 December 1917 Cackett entered the war in France on 14 November 1918 and served there until 20 April 1918; sold together with copied M.I.C. and service papers.
