1936 (June) envelope to London bearing a very fine strike of the type G Expedition handstamp with manuscript "Camp 1" with India K.G.V 3a.6p. and 4a. tied by Darjeeling c.d.s. (14.7) and with Air Mail etiquette; vertical folding crease, otherwise fine. After the discovery of the stolen mail, further sending were sent through Gangtok and Darjeeling. The Expedition was ordered back to Camp 1 on 6 June because of bad weather and this letter may well have been despatched near that date. Photo
