D.S.O. London Gazette 12 June 1945 (Opening of the Greek Ports).

D.S.C. London Gazette 1 January 1941.

Second Award Bar to D.S.C. London Gazette 7 December 1943 (Operation Antidote).

Third Award Bar to D.S.C. London Gazette 27 March 1945 (Operation Dragoon).

M.I.D. London Gazette 4 October 1940 (Operation Dynamo - air attack), 31 March 1942 (Nore minefield) & 14 November 1944 (minesweeping).

Alister Angus Martin was born in 1903 at Tynemouth and served in the Royal Naval Reserve during the Second World War. He served in command of H.M.T. Iverforth during the Dunkirk evacuation and thence commanded Rothesay.

Sold together with the following original archive:

(i) Warrant for the D.S.O, with its postage envelope.

(ii) Two M.I.D. certificates, both in their named postage envelopes.

(iii) C.V. of the recipient, whilst Director of Marine, Federation of Malaya.

(iv) A file of original letters, official notes and certificates, throughout his career, together with newspaper cuttings.

(v) A set of full-size and miniature riband bars, together with lengths of ribands.
