QANTAS, TEAL, PAA Clipper and KLM Services to UK and Europe
The mail went by Qantas on the Singapore - Sydney section of the "Horseshoe" route, then to New Zealand by T.E.A.L. The route from Auckland to San Francisco was flown by Pan American Clipper, then by internal airlines to New York, and via Trans-Atlantic Clipper to Lisbon, and finally by KLM to destination
1941 (31 Jan.) envelope (opened-out) from Singapore to Glasgow, marked "Via Qantas" and "Via China Clipper Air Mail", franked at $2.60 (on reverse) and showing triangular "passed for transmission/5" in violet; and 1941 (7 Feb.) envelope from Bagan Serai (Perak) to England and re-addressed to Ireland, marked "By Qantas, Trans Tasman, Transpacific + Transatlantic", franked at $2.60 and showing Irish Censor label at right
