Mail was flown by BOAC via Bangkok to Hong Kong, then by air all the way to the UK via PAA's Trans-Pacific and Trans-Atlantic Clipper Services to Lisbon, and then KLM (under license to BOAC) to Bristol.
1940 (25 July) envelope registered from Palestine to London, franked at 150m., showing manuscript "AV2", triangular "passed for transmission/15/singapore" and Palestinian Censor label and cachet at left; 1940 (26 Aug.) envelope from Palestine to England, marked "Air Mail, By American Clipper", franked at 3/- (GB stamps cancelled by F.P.O. 121 datestamp), showing Censor cachet and unframed "to be forwarded by/air from singapore" in violet; 1940 (4 Sept.) envelope from Batavia to Switzerland, franked at 1g.45, showing "d" and "25" in circles (Singapore sorting marks) with brown sealing tape at left tied by unframed "passed by/censor 71/singapore" in violet; and 1941 (2 Oct.) envelope from India to England, franked at 3r.8a., showing Indian Censor cachet and label, and unframed "to be forwarded by/air from singapore" in violet
