KLM Lydda - Singapore - Sydney Service and Return
Following Italy's entry into the war in June 1940, KLM moved its operational HQ to Palestine and commenced on 30 July a weekly service from Lydda to Sydney via Singapore.

1941 (21 Mar.) envelope registered from Soerabaja to Palestine via Singapore, franked at 165c., showing "d" and "21" in circles (Singapore sorting marks) and with Dutch Indies Censor label at left; and 1941 (8 Apr.) envelope (a little stained) registered from Shanghai to Palestine, marked "By KLM Airmail via Batavia - Lydda", franked at $2.10, showing "b" and "18" in circles (Singapore sorting marks) with brown sealing tape at left tied by violet Censor cachet.
