Competing for President Hindenburg's Cup "for the most sporting amateur flight made by a German subject", Baron von Koenig began his Far East flight in Berlin in August 1928, left Calcutta in "Kamerad", a Klemm-Daimler Baby plane for Akyab, Rangoon, Bangkok and arrived in Singapore on 26 March

1929 (15 Jan.) postcard from Calcutta to Singapore, bearing India ½a. and with printed and handstamped flight details, and "Delayed" cachet in black. Rare, twenty-five cards carried to Singapore of which only seventeen stated to exist. Photo
