1878 (8 Aug.) pink envelope from Langford to England, bearing 1877-78 First printing 6d. deep lilac Type 6 cancelled "8" in oval of bars and with Cape Town transit datestamp (14.8) alongside, the reverse with Langford double-arc datestamp and Leicester arrival c.d.s. (13.9); small tear at centre of face panel, otherwise fine and scarce. Also loose 1878 Type 15 1d. (2) cancelled "8" and 4d. with Langford double-arc datestamp. Photo
