Aethelred II (978-1016), Penny, 1.36g, Helmet type, Lydford, Bruna, bust left in armour and radiate helmet, rev. :+BR.VNA MΩO LYDA, long cross voided, each limb terminating in three crescents, over square with three pellets at each point (N775; S1152), minor surface cracks to both sides, dark tone with underlying iridescent hues to the reverse, better than very fine, very rare type for this mint.
