Gibraltar 1886 (1 January) Overprinted on Stamps of Bermuda Issue, Covers The following section offers what is almost certainly the finest group of these first issue covers ever assembled in one collection. It features a number of remarkable frankings and rates, together with some most unusual destinations 1886 (15 Mar.) 2d. G size registered envelope "pr. P&O Mail" to Wellington, New Zealand, bearing 4d. orange-brown vertical pair sharing Registered oval d.s. with a further strike alongside, the reverse with Port Said (23.3), Suez (24.3), Dunedin (3.5) and Wellington (5.5) d.s.; the pair with a few faults, nevertheless a rare commercial franking to an even rarer destination.
