Gibraltar 1886 (1 January) Overprinted on Stamps of Bermuda Issue, Covers The following section offers what is almost certainly the finest group of these first issue covers ever assembled in one collection. It features a number of remarkable frankings and rates, together with some most unusual destinations 1886 (26 May) 2d. G size registered envelope to London, bearing 1/2d. dull green, 1d. rose-red and 6d. deep lilac sharing two Registered oval d.s., with a further strike alongside, and additionally tied by London Registered oval d.s. in red; faults on flap which has been strengthened, otherwise fine and a most attractive three-colour franking.
