Postcard from village Gigen to Jambol, franked by 1901 5st. tied by superb strike of negative "District Svishtov/Municipality of Nikopol/Rural Community of Gigen" handstamp, repeated at left, with various c.d.s.'s in centre including Somovit and travelling "Varna-Sofia" & "Tsaribrod-Burgas". The only example recorded of this postmark, described by Hitzler in his certifcate as "the most beautiful cover of the Bulgarian village mail"; very few items with other negative seals are also recorded, being of poorer quality.
