Mercantile Bank of India, Hong Kong, specimen $100, 1.1.1930, no serial numbers, red, temple and harbour scene at centre,
(Pick 239s), PMG 64EPQ. Highest denomiation of the series and one of the most well known designs due to its long lifespan of over 40 years. But generally any pre war issued examples are rare and if encountered are in inferior condition. Therefore this 1930 example is the only chance for collectors to obtain an early AND uncirculated example. PMG census SINGLE TOP POP and the ONLY with EPQ designation!
