1945 (30 Aug.) a reprinted photo of the British warship H.M.S. Swiftsure entering Victoria Harbour through Lei Yue Mun to take over Hong Kong (reprinted around the 1980s). The Japanese-built Churei Pagoda can be seen in the upper right corner. Following this warship, several more British warships subsequently entered Victoria Harbour. Attached is a photocopy of a South China Morning Post Extra edition reporting on the incident.


1945年8月30日英國軍艦H.M.S. Swiftsure 經由鯉魚門開入維港接收香港之相片 (約80年代再曬相片), 相片右上可見到日軍所建的忠靈塔. 隨後更有數艘英國軍艦相繼進入維港. 附上當時有關報導的南華早報号外之影印一面.
