China, Qing Dynasty, Tibet, CONTEMPORARY FORGERY silver presentation 1 tael sycee, ND (stamped Qian Long on reverse, 1735-1796), weighs 37.1g, in the shape of the Two Golden Fish, which is among the 8 Auspicious Symbols, also known as the Ashtamangala. The Two Golden Fish represents happiness as they have complete freedom of movement in the water; symbolising auspiciousness of all sentient beings in a state of fearlessness without danger of drowning in samsara.
