Canada 1981-86 National Parks Issue $1 Fundy with black (recess) omitted, marginal, fine. With normal for comparison. Pierron CA1768MCa, £500; Sc. 726b; S.G. 884ab, £450. Photo Estimate £ 150-180 Note: The missing black affects the recess printed areas (value, country name and inscriptions) leaving them as an albino impression. The first pane to be reported was discovered in British Columbia. The five known used examples probably came from this pane. Two further panes were discovered in Kamloops and Hamilton respectively. The final pane, from the original sheet of 200, surfaced in Elmira, Ontario. Ten examples from the Elmira pane were used as postage (and are presumed lost) before the error was spotted. quantity: 185 mint, 5 used
