(2908 Sergt. Michael Gahagan 48th. Foot); Meritorious Service Medal, V.R. (Sergt: M. Gahagan. 48th. Foot), MSM extremely fine, LS&GC contact marks and edge bruising, therefore very fine, the Crimean awards heavy contact marks and worn, therefore fine or better, mounted in this order, together with a portrait photograph of the recipient wearing his medals (4) Estimate £ 600-800 2908 Sergeant Michael Gahagan, born Roscommon, Ireland, 1835; enlisted in the 48th (Northamptonshire) Regiment, January 1854; served with the Regiment in the Crimea; Corporal, July 1855; Sergeant, March 1856; awarded Long Service & G.C.
