John Chalmers, 1st Bn. 2nd Regt.), very fine Estimate £ 320-360 Captain John Chalmers, commissioned Ensign 2nd Foot, 1849; Lieutenant 1851; served with the regiment during the Third Kaffir War (1851-53), and was present in the expedition against Mosesh (entitled to medal); Captain 1856, and served with the regiment during the Second China War.
