Uganda 1895 (End) Narrow Unissued Violet Stamps Towards the end of 1895, The Rev. Ernest Millar typed two special values at the request of Dr. W.J. Ansorge who was the Government Medical Officer in Kampala. In a letter dated June 7th 1899 to Mrs. E.C. Bazett, Millar wrote, "about 6 at 35 and 45 were printed though I think that these were printed specially for Dr. Ansorge and were never in circulation. I think you would be safe in saying they were printed in the violet UG issue". 35(c.) and 45(c.), both with border on two sides, faults or small defects and faded. R.P.S.
