Excellent" at Portsmouth, cancelled with "berber" "c.d.s." with the dateline blank, a further strike to left, the reverse with Wadi-Halfa (21.11), Cairo (1.12) and Portsmouth (1.12) c.d.s.; the envelope with small imperfections though a rare cancellation and possibly the earliest of the few recorded examples, all others being used during December.
