Officer´s envelope (with letter) from Cairo to Simla, India, bearing 1882 3a. orange crossed by two manuscript ink lines and tied by "B" in circle of bars with, on reverse, fine strikes of "field force p.o. egypt/no.2", "field force p.o. egypt/no.1" (6th October), Sea Post Office and arrival datestamps; the envelope a little worn at edges.
