Five: Lieutenant Bandmaster C.C. Scott, Penang and Province Wellesley Volunteer Corps, Later Royal Army Service Corps 1939-1945 Star; Pacific Star; Defence and War Medals; Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long Service Medal, G.V.R. (Lieut. Bandmaster C.C. Scott. P.&P.W.V.C. 1927), edge bruising to last, nearly very fine and scarce to unit, with the remains of the recipient´s hip flask, engraved ´Lieut: Cecil. C. Scott. V.D., Engraved by J. Uilham, For Auld Lang Syne, 1943.´ (5) Estimate £ 100-140 In 1922 the Penang and Province Wellesley Volunteer Corps amalgamated with the Singapore Volunteer Corps, the Malacca Volunteer Corps, and the Labuan Volunteer Defence Detachment to form the Straits Settlements Volunteer Force, with the Penang and Province Wellesley Volunteer Corps forming the 3rd Battalion of the SSVP. Parades were held every Monday night, with a Regimental Sergeant-Major from the Coldstream Guards, who taught the Corps to march properly. Occasionally exercises were held over Penang Hill, and a lot of them took place through the Chinese Cemetery.
