Great Britain Line Engraved 1840 Two Pence Blue Plate 1 AC-AH, horizontal strip of six (severed between AF and AG) in a deep full blue shade, margins nearly all round (touched or clipped at places), on entire letter from Stewartstown to Pennsylvania dated 7 March 1841, very neatly cancelled by strikes of the black Maltese Cross and tied by red oval "paid ship letter/london" and circular "new-york/ship" datestamps, AD with tear at base, A E crossed by light fold but not detracting from the wonderful appearance of this striking and rare overseas usage.
