Great Britain Line Engraved 1840 One Penny Black Plate V RI, close or touched at right, large margins other sides and showing small portion of adjoining stamp at foot, tied by red Maltese Cross cancellation to envelope dated 17 Sept. 1840 to Tiverton with script "Kirkoswald/Penny Post" marking below, on arrival the envelope "turned" and additionally franked 1d. black Plate II, NJ, just touched at lower-right but with good margins other sides, addressed to Brentford, dated 12 Nov. and with red Maltese Cross cancellation, framed "missent to wilts"; despite some slight faults a scarce cover and full of character.
