Great Britain Line Engraved 1840 One Penny Black Plate V RC (just touched) and RH, used with 1840 Two Pence Blue Plate 1 NG, mostly with large margins all round, tied by red Maltese Cross cancellations to entire dated 6 Nov. 1840 addressed to Ayr, Glasgow datestamp on the reverse, small traces of staining and pressed vertical filing folds affect both 1d.´s, fine.
