New Zealand 1845-66, reverse dated 1863-1864 (E. Terry, Carps. Crw., H.M.S. Esk), nearly extremely fine Estimate £ 400-450 Edwin Terry, born Holloway, London, 1840; service in the Royal Navy including in H.M.S. Fawn, August 1861-April 1863 and H.M.S. Duke of Wellington, April 1863-June 1863, before being borne on the books of H.M.S. Esk. Approximately 119 New Zealand medals were issued to H.M.S. Esk, 44 of which are recorded as known in Naval Medals 1793-1856, K. Douglas-Morris. Of this 4 are recorded with undated reverses, the rest are dated 1863-1864.
