Lash, R.N.R.); British War Medal (Lt. Commr. G.E. Lash. R.N.R.); Defence Medal; Coronation 1911; Royal Naval Reserve Decoration, G.V.R, silver and silver-gilt (Hallmarks for London 1920), generally good very fine (6) Estimate £ 550-750 Lieutenant-Commander George Edward Lash (1877-1956), a native of West Worthing, Sussex; served as 3rd Officer in S.S. Mombassa (British India Steam Lines), whilst she transported troops to China, 1900; he retired from the company as a Master Mariner; commissioned Sub-Lieutenant Royal Naval Reserve, 5.4.1907; served as Lieutenant in H.M.S. Irresistable from 13.4.1911, and was present with her at Spithead, 24.6.1911; appointed as Lieutenant-Commander to H.M.S. President III (D.A.M.S.) London, from 1.8.1917 (awarded R.N.R. Decoration 1921).
