Clark, Mne, R.M.), Great War medals good fine, later awards very fine (6) Estimate £ 100-140 19377 Private Frederick James Clark, born Little Baddow, Chelmsford, 1896; enlisted Royal Marine Light Infantry, 3.11.1914; served in various ships including the H.M.S. Duncan 16.7.1916 - 31.12.1916, during which time she took part in the Occupation of Lipso Island, Athens, 1.12.1916; 60 officers and other ranks killed including 10 killed and 12 wounded from the Royal Marine Company involved; Clarke was wounded by a bullet to the chest and right forearm 7.12.1916.; re-engaged 1938; discharged 1944.
