Crook. 2-Lond.R.), extremely fine, with original card boxes of issue and two Eton College Medals ´For Regular Attendance´ in a card box titled ´William Crook 411 out of 411 attendances in 1904´ (6) Estimate £ 220-260 1545 Rifleman Charles Crook, born Leytonstone, Essex; served during the Great War with the 2nd Battalion Rifle Brigade, he was killed in action on the Western Front 9.5.1915, and is commemorated on Ploegsteert Memorial, Belgium. 2576 Private Herbert William Crook, educated at Eton; served during the Great War with the 2nd Battalion London Regiment, and was killed in action on the Western Front 15.9.1916, on the latter date the 2nd Battalion London Regiment attacked Loop Trench (Somme), and carried their objective along with the end of Combles trench, Crook is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.
