British Guiana Covers and Cancellations The American Style Datestamps railway p.o.: 1880 (20 Dec.) 3c. red card from Buxton to London, untidily cancelled with cork obliterators and showing Buxton c.d.s. (25.12) alongside and London Paid c.d.s. (13.1) in red towards lower left corner, the reverse with a part strike of the Railway P.O. c.d.s. and Georgetown c.d.s., both dated 25 December. Some stains on face and reverse though unlisted by Townsend and Howe, and Proud, the Buxton datestamp earlier than recorded in both works. Photo Estimate £ 100-120
