The Order of the Companions of Honour, Member´s (C.H.) neck Badge, 68mm including crown suspension x 40mm, silver-gilt and enamel, the initials ´W.W.´ marked on reverse, major enamel damage to crown, enamel damage to two parts of motto, otherwise good fine, with neck riband, in case of issue Estimate £ 700-800 The only recipient of the Order of the Companions of Honour for this period with the initials ´W.W.´ was Rt. Hon. William Whiteley, C.H., M.P. (1881-1955), Labour Member of Parliament for Blaydon, 1922-31 and 1935-55; Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury, 1942-51; Appointed to the Privy Council, 1943; Companion of Honour, 1948.
