x CANADA The Large Queen Issue Six Cents Blackish Brown/Yellowish Brown Ottawa Printings, Perforated 12 Covers 1871 (12 June) pale pink envelope from Montreal to a U.S. Lieutenant on the "U.S. Steam Ship "Plymouth" care B.H. Stevens U.S. Dispatch Agt" London, bearing 6c. yellow-brown in combination with 2c. green, both fresh, placed sideways and cancelled with light bars duplex, showing a fine strike of the "united states/despatch agent/b. f. stevens/london" double-oval d.s. for 27 June and partially overcancelled with London paid c.d.s. of the same date, both in red; the envelope with a few small faults though a most unusually addressed via U.S. franking carried on the Guion vessel Idaho.
