Adcock, R.M.), recipient´s initials double struck on last, extremely fine (3) Estimate £ 120-140 Hubert Percy Adcock, born Islington, 19.12.1891; joined the Royal Marine Division of Engineers, Royal Naval Division, September 1914; took part in the Gallipoli landings, going ashore at Anzac Beach, 28.4.1915; taken ill on the mainland, he was evacuated to the Island of Lemnos, in the Aegean Sea, and died of enteric fever whilst on active service, 15.6.1915. Sapper Adcock is buried in East Mudros Military cemetery, Island of Lemnos, Greece.
