Sudan Covers and Cancellations 1897 (6 May) envelope (some stains) ex the "Khoure" correspondence registered to Cairo bearing 1m. (2), 3m. and 5m. (2), (17 Sept.) envelope (crease at foot and other small faults) to Alexandria bearing 1m. (5) similarly cancelled, (6 Nov.) envelope registered to Alexandria bearing 1m. to 1pi., all three cancelled with Type D2 c.d.s., and 1897 (21 Oct.) blue envelope (249x124mm.) ex the "Sloggett" correspondence from Wadi Halfa to Alexandria, bearing 1897 2m. green blocks of sixteen and twenty-four with each block of four sharing a single Type D1 c.d.s.; the stamps faded to blue and the envelope a little aged in places though a remarkable cover Estimate £ 250-300
