Sudan The Campaign for the Recapture of Khartoum 1898 (27 Apr.) soldier´s envelope to Gibraltar, marked "From 2690 J. Quinton A Coy 1st Cameron Highrs" and "Nile Expeditionary Force Soudan", countersigned by Commanding Officer, bearing Large Camel 5m. tied by unclear "halfa" c.d.s. with another clearer strike below and, on reverse, a mainly fine strike of "Wet through collision on the Nile" h.s. plus Alexandria, Malta, London and arrival datestamps; the envelope opened-out for display.
