Sudan The Dongola Expedition 1896 1896 (16 Mar.) envelope (with original letter) from Major Gore Anley to his mother in London, marked "Field Service, no stamps", showing "wadi-halfa/camp" c.d.s., boxed "t" and "21/2d/f.b." h.s. with, on reverse, Assouan and Alexandria transit datestamps.
