Sudan The Red Sea Littoral, 1884-85 incoming mail: 1884 (13 Nov.) mourning envelope from Huntly addressed to "Captain Gordon, Royal Marines, Souakin, Egypt", bearing GB 2 1/2d. lilac tied by "178" duplex and showing, on reverse, Suez and Souakin (27.11) c.d.s., and 1884 (11 Dec.) envelope addressed to A.E. Sandbach at Cairo, bearing GB 2 1/2d. lilac tied by Hereford duplex and with manuscript "Field Battalion RE" at left; also 1885 (19 Mar.) leaflet entitled "Our Soldiers in the Soudan", a pictorial lecture by Capt.
