x Malaya Perak 1900-41 exhibition collection featuring the pre-UPU era, interstate usage, the Federated Malay States and Malayan Postal Union periods, wartime shortages, Field Post Offices and Tax letters. The collection comprises envelopes (89, eleven registered), stationery cards (6) and registered envelope, FMS stationery cards (10), envelopes (2) and registered envelopes (4), and picture postcards (3). Items of note include 1896 envelope from Kwala Kangsar to India bearing Straits 8c., 1892 envelope from Gopeng to India bearing Straits 1c. (8), 1900 envelope from Gopeng to India bearing Straits 1c. and 3c., 1900 (Oct.) locally addressed Ipoh envelope bearing 3c. Postal Receipt, 1901 (Jan) envelope from Ipoh to India bearing 1900 1c. on 3c. (12, one with antique "e" in "Cent"), 1906 (Mar.) picture postcard from Lahat to Madagascar via Mauritius, 1911 FMS 10c. registered envelope from Chendering to Penang uprated 3c. and showing unrecorded registration d.s., 1922 envelope from Trong to Taiping, 1927 (Oct.) envelope registered from Parit Buntar to India showing "recommandé" h.s. (Type R6), 1928 (Jan.) FMS 12c. registered envelope from Bagan Serai uprated 21c. showing Type R5 c.d.s. and "A.R" h.s. (Type AR2), 1930 (Jan.) envelope registered from Kampar to Batu Gajah, franked at 16c., showing Type R4 c.d.s. and "A.R" h.s., 1933 (May) envelope registered from Ipoh East to Guatemala franked at 27c., 1935 (Dec.) envelope from Taiping to Kenya bearing Pahang 4c. (2) and showing censor cachet and label, 1936 and 1941 envelopes to India and Sitiawan respectively via Penang franked at 8c. and showing framed "train letter" handstamps (different types) and 1941 (June) envelope from Tapah Road to Singapore bearing Pahang 6c. and Straits 2c., and envelope from Kampar to USA bearing Perak 5c. and Straits 10c. The section of Taxed mail includes the following Types:- Ipoh UP4, UP9, UP15, UP21, Parit Buntar UP2, Taiping UP8 (2), UP10, UP12, UP15 (2) and UP16, Teluk Anson UP5 and UP2, and six covers bearing FMS Postage Dues with frankings of 6c., 10c., 12c.
