Great Britain Proofs & Essays A strip of plain gummed paper measuring 200 x 25 mm., the surface showing three ink endorsements "l g Dickinson" (Dickinson being the paper maker) in the hand of L.de Nicolas, Perkins Bacons clerk. A further endorsement reading "1g Dickin" is in the hand of Joshua Bacon; some faults as to be expected. An extremely rare item from the 1840 gum and paper trials. Ex Perkins Bacon Archive.
