x Great Britain Postal History Ireland 1849 (23 Nov.) entire registered to Rome, bearing 1847-54 Embossed 1/- green, single and horizontal strip of four, mostly margins all round, and 10d. red-brown (torn into at right) tied by fine light strikes of the black "172" numeral of Derry, the address panel variously rated in manuscript and showing English, French and Italian transit datestamps; a few small faults though in no way affecting the stunning appearance.
