Wei Hai Wei The Trans-Siberian Route 1903 (6 Dec.) picture post card addressed to London "Via Trans-Siberian" bearing Hong Kong Q.V. 4c. carmine tied by type B Liu Kung Tau c.d.s. without code letter and a good strike of "chefoo/british p.o." c.d.s. at left; fine and attractive. With a copy of the postal notice for Mails to the Far East (Viâ Siberia). Photo Estimate HK$ 4,000-6,000The Russians opened this service to foreign Post Offices in November 1903. However, the service was suspended early in 1904 because of the Russo-Japanese War. The route was not reopened again until 1907
