China Foreign Post Offices British Post Office peking: 1898 (13 May) picture postcard addressed to the Royal Geographical Society, London showing snow-covered buildings, bearing I.C.P. 5c. tied by Peking dollar chop, Shanghai Dollar chop at left and pair of Hong Kong 2c. carmine tied by Shanghai c.d.s. with part Hong Kong transit at top. Message includes that the writer had just returned from Shantung, "... I have taken about 300 large photos, the most ever taken there...". Interesting and an early picture post card.
