Henry V (1413-22), class C/E mule, Noble, 6.81g., London, king standing facing in ship, holding sword and shield, mullet by sword arm, broken annulet on ship´s side, rev. floriated cross with lis at ends, h in centre, pellet in first quarter, quatrefoil in second quarter, saltire/double saltire stops, m.m. pierced cross on reverse only (Schneider -; N.1371/73; S.1742/44), edge nick at 6 o´clock, scratch on king´s face, slightly smoothed, otherwise good fine, the reverse better, a very rare mule Estimate £ 500-600No C/E noble mule is represented in either the British Museum, or the Schneider collections. The lettering on the obverse, Brooke H5, I4 and N7, is found on very late nobles of class C, c.f. Schneider 234, and on those of class D, Schneider 244-5, but there is no trace on this coin of an annulet by the sword arm or a trefoil by the shield, the diagnostic features of class D
