Henry IV (1399-1413), light coinage, Noble, 7.68g., London, type IV, king standing facing in ship, holding sword and shield, annulet and slipped trefoil on ship´s side, crennelated castles, HENRIC DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRAC DNS HIB Z AQ, rev. floriated cross with lis at ends, pellet and h in centre, slipped trefoil in second quarter, double saltire stops, m.m. cross pattee on reverse only (Schneider 201 (same dies); N.1355; S.1715), struck from a worn obverse die, face slightly weak, otherwise a full coin for this issue, almost very fine, very rare Estimate £ 1,500-1,800Schneider noted that there was a pellet on the rudder of his coin, SCBI 47, 201. Only thtee nobles struck from this obverse die survive, Schneider 201 ex Lockett 3069; BM ex Cassal 177; and this coin, the clearest example. There does appear to be a small pellet on the rudder but it is probably the result of a ´rusty´ die
