M.N.I.); Indian Mutiny 1857-58, one clasp, Central India (Captain A,L, Rishton 1st Regiment N.I.), officially impressed as issued and claimed from India, minor edge bruising, therefore very fine or better (2) Estimate £ 650-700Colonel Alfred Louis Rishton; Ensign 1st Regiment Madras Native Infantry, 1842; Lieutenant 1845; served in the Second Burmese War 1852-53; served in the Turkish Contingent during the Crimean Campaign, 1855-56 (Order of the Medjidieh); Captain 1856; during the Indian Mutiny (1857-58), served with the Saugor Field Division and was present at the affair of Kubraie (17.4.1858), the Battle of Banda (19.4.1858), action near Chiterakote (13.8.1858), and action near Punghauttee (6.9.1858); retired Colonel 1872.
