x Naval General Service 1793-1840, two clasps, Nile, St. Domingo (Thomas Williams, Lieut.), minor edge bruising, minor abrasion in obverse field, therefore nearly extremely fine Estimate £ 5,500-6,500Commander Thomas Williams, appointed Midshipman H.M.S. Minotaur 1794, in which he fought at the battle of the Nile; employed as Master´s Mate in the Mediterranean until he was nominated Acting-Lieutenant H.M.S. Florentina, 1800; served on the Mediterranean, West India, Baltic and Home stations in H.M.S. Britannia, Leopard, Ambuscade and Canopus; he served in the latter at the action off St. Domingo, 6.02.1806; Flag-Lieutenant H.M.S. Mars 23.03.-11.06.1808; similarly employed in the Bombay Castle until 27.06.1814, when he was made Commander of the sloop Derwent, on the Newfoundland station; half-pay 1815; later Magistrate for Devon.
