BURMA Prisoner of War Mail Outgoing Mail 1943 (May) "service des prisoners de guerre." card from Able Seamen J.H. Hughes at Moulmein Camp to his parents in England, showing despatch and arrival censor marks, and accompanied by 1945 (Sept.) free "recovered prisoners of war on active service." airmail card which Hughes has sent to his parents advising them of his release, and 1945 (12 Sept.) 11/2d. Forces Letter aerogramme to Hughes in Bombay which arrived after his departure for home and showing "it is regretted this letter could not be forwarded in time to connect with the ship or aircraft on which addressee was repatriated" and framed "undelivered for reason stated/return to sender" in violet.
