BURMA World War II Postal History 1942 (10 Jan.) envelope from Rangoon addressed locally, undelivered and with Rangoon "DEP" c.d.s. for 29 January and 2 February, sent to the Dead Letter Office where a "service suspended/return to sender" handstamp was applied (the Japanese having occupied Rangoon on 8 March) and eventually redirected to Mandalay with Unclaimed Letter label, 1942 (24 Jan.) envelope from Rawalpindi to Moulmein and due to the occupation undelivered, sent back via the D.L.O. offices at Rangoon and Calcutta with Unclaimed Letter Office label, and 1945 11/2a. envelope from Puram via Madras to Shwebo, showing "service suspended/returned to sender" handstamp as no post office service was available Estimate £ 100-120
